For the 17 years I’d worked in the leisure industry, specifically the motor home sector. I owned, ran and grew a motorhome dealership, taking it from its small embryonic and humble beginnings and turning it into a mid-size business with around 25 staff and an annual turnover of £15 million per year. We worked hard and fought through the turmoil of the 2008 recession, reaping the rewards a couple of years later when the business started to make some serious money. It was a real acorn to oak tree journey.
In 2022 I exited the business, successfully selling my shares through a management buyout, which then gave me the opportunity to join eSIM Go full time. The future for eSIM Go is already looking extremely bright, and I’m looking forward to seeing how big this new oak tree will grow!
In late 2019/early 2020 our CEO Zacchary Couldrick first introduced me to the rest of the team and we decided to try and build something great together. Coming from a different industry, eSIMs were just an interesting concept to me back then. Just a few years on it’s clear to see they really are the future.
I’m a shareholder /director and COO. The ops team support me in overseeing many of the daily operations, across all areas of the business. The operational side of eSIM Go is always busy, which gives me a real buzz every day!
I would say we are an exciting and happy company to work for and an innovative, dynamic team to do business with. We have the right mentality, changing and adapting to fit our customers’ individual needs, and we definitely have the right team by our side to help scale the business. It all combines to make a fantastic culture to work in.
That’s a difficult question to answer without giving chapter and verse, so I’ll just keep it short and sweet: “eSIM Go will be the Apple of the eSIM world.”
A few years ago my wife and I discovered the beauty of Croatia. When we get time outside of work we like to visit there and the surrounding islands as often as possible, enjoying the picturesque landscape and the crystal clear Adriatic Sea.
I’m also a keen pilot with a passion for aviation, so when in the UK I enjoy flying my small plane. I’m also training for my helicopter PPL.
